One of astrology’s great gifts is that it enriches our participation with time. Each cycle, no matter its length, renews itself in the dawn of a new cycle. There is a past and a future in each moment of every celestial orbit, but how do we engage with these mysteries in the present? Our classes endeavour to amplify ways of participating and honouring astrological cycles and timing techniques.

Astrology and alchemy share a common history, as subjects integral to the Western mystery traditions. Alchemy was considered to be a process begun by nature but requiring the conscious art and effort of human beings to bring to completion. Astrologically, this refers to the possibility of deliberate co-operation in transforming the potentials of the birth chart through conscious engagement in the experience of living.

Astrology and the Symbolic Imagination is our signature course, enshrining our approach to astrology. It is taught by four of the core contributors to the CAMS project. Each of these tutors is an experienced individual voice in contemporary astrology and each offers their unique perspective – yet together we are united in the ground of our approach, placing central importance on the faculty of symbolic imagination and on the inspiration of the archetypes as a living presence.
